One of my neighbors has one. Never seems to have any problems with it as far as I can tell, but I know that she also has a very, very short daily drive.

I learned to drive on a 55 amg of around the same era. My dad had a 430 before a 55, he still says he felt more comfortable and content in the 430.

They're actually quite reliable. Mostly just wear items, bushings and ball joints, and other rubber things from age.
